Having already read JD Salinger's manifesto of teenage angst, The Catcher in the Rye has already been highly influential in my book writing, development as a writer in whole and i feel like not only would my literature analysis benefit from re-reading the novel, but so would my grasp of the thematical content, messages that may have been ineluctable, elusive to me in my first arguable "skim". Time to jump off the cliff, take the plunge all over again.
